Will joined the UK Royal Marines as an Officer at 19 years old where he led teams in the UK, USA, and across four deployments to Sierra Leone and Afghanistan. His focus throughout was operations and capability development roles and through his natural affinity for leadership and creating high performing teams, he received multiple recognition awards including the Queen's Commendation for Valuable Service.

In the military, much of Will's work focussed on creating individual, team and organisational performance excellence as well as complex process transformation. As a result, when he left the military in 2013, he chose to focus on these aspects as a management consultant. Since 2013 he has worked with multiple organisations from small family businesses to large corporates across the financial services, energy, telco and consumer products industries, helping them to achieve their business goals. 

As part of that he has leveraged his passion for leadership as well as personal and team performance to help hundreds of people to achieve their potential through his very personal and pragmatic style. He regularly coaches and mentors individuals, teams and leaders ranging from first-time managers, to senior and C-Suite executives. 

​Will's personal goal in setting up ClarusBlue with Rob, was to try and cut through a lot of the complexity in the majority of today's offerings for individual and business improvement, and leverage a broad range of theories, principles, tools and techniques, to help people develop in a way that works for them. His key principle being that if you get the fundamentals right, then the more complex challenges become easier!
